Water, rocks, pine-trees – what can be more beautiful! Three weeks of exciting trip along Knyazhegubskoye Vodokhranilishche.
We go by car to Zelenoborskoye, then by water.. on boats and ATV by Triiton production. Yarkiy Luch flashlights lighten us the way. AT first to the south, along the eastern cost till Nol’ozero and then to the west when Vincha river flows into Notozero (the south-west part of the reservoir). From this place the radical sailing on canoes with portage took place to Chelozero. Then we go to the north, along the western cost passing Bolshoi (Velikiy) island to Travyanaya Guba (the beginning of our route where our cars were left).
Vast water spaces, numerous number of islands, pine-trees with rumpled feathers, and rocks…it is impossible to describe such beauty through the words.
The first part of the trip the weather made us joy with sun rays, cool wind, and absence of mosquitoes. Natural disasters of all kinds followed us during the second part of our trip: one day there were the bright sun and the light wind, another day there were the heavy sky with the flashing lightings and constant thunder-claps, storm wind with the rain. However this incredible beautiful scene didn’t allow us to go up the Ivanova Gora (the mountain).
Fishing succeeded from the beginning of our trip. Pike, perch, orfe, trout varied our rich menu. What indeed we had to hunt for – berries and mushrooms (great dry weather also effected the North). During return journey the stops were made at Pon’goma river and Kivach waterfall.
It was Yarkiy Luch company that was offered to be a sponsor of Lembolovskiy Memorial 2011, night orientation competition.
There is summer again! It’s hot again! Traditionally a group of St-Petersburg tourists, admirers of active rest went to Murmansk region. Expanse of Knyazhegubskoye Vodokhranilishche is so great but vacation is so short...
