01.jpgFishing festival in Estonia.

Our friends from Estonia told us about Fishing festival existing in their country. We could not miss a chance to take part in it and to render sponsorship.
More than 3 (three) thousand fishermen went on their marks from the Baltics, Russia, Finland.

After sign-up they got a set of rules and the water pond’s depth chart. 010.jpgThere were 2 types of competitions: individual and team ones. Intrigue of the individual competition was in catching the «marked» fish. As for team it should catch roach no more no less than 24 cm length.
100 perches and 30 ruffs were caught during 5 days of competition. They were marked and let out into the water pond. The main prize was 1 kg of gold.

Yarkiy Luch team consisted of 4 people.
007.jpgHaving learnt the lake’s chart we decided not to go far from a starting point and constantly move hoping for luck (catching the «gold» fish). Time for catching was 3 hours. So the fishing was not easy. We caught 30 perches, but our luck didn’t hold us. We didn’t catch any one «marked» fish. The fishermen whose luck held were awarded with numerous prizes: the whole team’s trip for fishing to Aland Islands, the trip to Finland, the hog carcass, the fish-tackle, and of course «Yarkiy Luch» flashlights. 031.jpgThere were absolutely non fishing categories, for example the prize for the most unusual costume. We could not pass by the people dressed in such costumes and made a photo that gave us a plenty of positive emotions. We also could not overlook the young fishermen. They were awarded with the prizes like fully legitimate competitors. Only 3 (three) «marked» fish were caught in the individual competitions. 100 000 EEK were raffled among these 3 lucky fishermen.
019.jpgDuring the festival we saw many people dedicated to their hobby. Friendly atmosphere, excellent organization of the festival and a plenty of enjoy will make us come again next year and take part in this Festival.
See you in Estonia in 2011 year!
