Siberian marathon 2011
01.jpgTrophy-expedition «Siberian marathon-2011. Call of Morinkhur (Mongolian bow-instrument)» was organized by Novosibirsk club of extreme auto-travels OFF ROAD MASTER. It started on 18th July to Mongolia.

During month the participants of the marathon traveled along the frontier with China, crossed the Gobi desert, had a chance to communicate with nomads and returned to Novosibirsk on 17th August.
«Yarkiy Luch» crew accompanied the expedition till the Mongolian frontier in Tashant. As we didn’t have time to visit Mongolia we had to investigate the beauties of Gorny Altai in a very short time. Most of all our imagination was amazed by the valley that is opened by Katu Yaryk pass. Ancient village named Balykcha is located in this valley. This village is on the cost of picturesque mountain Teletskoye lake. The village appeared in the 17th century.
It was planned to meet with travelers on their return trip in Khandy Gaity village. It was interesting plan to find the road from Republic of Tyva to Altai at the end of the expedition. It could save 1000 km of the route.
Possibly that’s why the participants of Siberian marathon returned from Mongolia 2 days earlier and Yarkiy Luch team had to hurry after escapees. Early morning we left Krasnoyarsk to go to Khandy Gaity. We could caught up the marathon only in Murur Aksy village. The team of Siberian marathon arranged the landing of the crew at 3 km height to climb the mountain.
